Moose on Parade 2008
Talkeetna Chamber of Commerce, Talkeetna Artists’ Guild and Talkeetna Historical Society join together in bringing you the “3rd Annual Moose on Parade & Moose on the Loose” which is inspired by the example and spirit of Wild Salmon on Parade (Anchorage) and Cows on Parade (Chicago). We will be teaming up artists with sponsoring businesses to place large, uniquely designed and decorated four foot high to life-size Moose “On the Loose” all over Talkeetna. These Moose will then take part in the Parade during Moose Dropping Festival on July 12, and be auctioned off to the highest bidder after the parade. The proceeds, after expenses, will be split equally between the Talkeetna Chamber of Commerce, the Talkeetna Artists’ Guild, and the Talkeetna Historical Society.
